Translation of the text on the sign:
Symbol of the Council for the Preservation of Israeli Heritage Sites
The emblem of Kibbutz Gan Shmuel

The silo - the first grain silo
In 1931, the silo was built, when the plumage for the building was brought by camels.
In the silo tower the grain was stored that had been previously stored in sacks in the first well building.
In 1957, a new silo was built and the old building was used for bookbinding operation.
For many years a Menorah stood at the head of the silo, and on holiday days waved flags over the roof of the building, until the trees in the yard grew and their tops hid the top of the tower.
