התמונה באדיבות אוסף מקסים ליברמן

סמוך למקום זה עמד מזח העץ הראשון של נמל תל אביב. מזח העץ נשטף בגלי הים בלילה הראשון להקמתו, ובמקומו נבנה למחרת מזח ברזל. בספטמבר 1936 הושלמה בניית מזח הברזל שאורכו היה 220 מטר ועליו נעו קרוניות דקוויל להובלת משאות וסחורה.

The wooden wharf

Near this location stood the first wooden pier of Tel Aviv Port. The wooden pier was washed in the sea waves on the first night of its erection, and an iron pier was built the next day. In September 1936, the 220-meter-long iron pier was completed, with the Dequil wagons moving to carry loads and goods.
