בנק "עין חי"
השם עין חי ניתן לבנק כדי לשמר את מורשת השם ההיסטורי של המושב כשהמושב היה "מושב פועלים". המושבים והקבוצות היו החוליה המקשרת להתיישבות העובדת בכלל "ולמושבי העובדים" בפרט.
את הבנק יזם וניהל משה זאב אבן, משנת 1924, (סבא של משה אבן שנקרא על שמו והיה מראשוני הטייסים של חיל האויר, ואחיו יעקב אבן חבר המושב). הבנק נוהל עשרות שנים על ידי יעקב זלמנסון (סבא של איתן), בתקופה שהמושב נוסד מחדש (ביחד עם חמרה), לפי התוכנית של מושבי העובדים בתר"פ (1919-1920).

כשעל ישובי העמק רק חלמו !!!

בשנות החמישים, המושב העניק את רישיון הבנק שלו, לכלל תנועת המושבים, ושמו הוחלף, "מקופת מלווה וחיסכון", לבנק "עין חי".
בשלב זה נוספו עשרות סניפים ברחבי הארץ, וסניפים ממונעים נעו בין המושבים.
בתקופה חלוצית זו (בשנות ה-30) העניק המושב אלפי דונמים "להתיישבות האלף" והמושב הפך "לאבי ההתיישבות" באיזור.
כשלעצמם לא היה מה לאכול, בנו מכספם ועל אדמתם את כל מוסדות האיזור. (בנוסף לבנק עין חי העניק המושב לאיזור את המרפאה, בית הספר, מועדון לתנועת הנוער העובד, מחלבה לתנובה, ספריה ואת בית המועצה האיזורית).
הדור השני, בכורי בני המושב, היו "מדור מייסדי הפלמ"ח" ("פלוגות המחץ" שהקימה ההתיישבות העובדת ב-1942).
רבים מהם הקריבו את היקר להם מכל את חייהם ממש! ובמחיר זה הגישו "למדינה שבדרך" על מגש של כסף את עצמאותה.
שני הדורות הגשימו את ערכי התקופה - יוזמה, תעוזה, עבודה עצמית, תרומה חומרית וערכית לכלל, בהתנדבות ולא בכפייה.
אין דברים כאלה היום, עשו ולא דיברו. המהפכה החברתית כלכלית הפכה את מרקם החיים במדינה, ופגעה במיוחד בהתיישבות היצרנית (בשונה מההתיישבות החדשה), ולהתיישבות לא מתאפשר להתאים את עצמה לצורך המשך קיומה.
בנוסף היא נאלצת לקנות את זכויותיה בקרקע פעם שנייה ושלישית, ולמעשה דור הבנים נעקר כבר עכשיו ממקום הולדתו יחד עם חמש דורות לפניו, אין מקרה עקירה דומה לזה בארץ.
מורשת עין חי כמושב פועלים, תרומתו העלומה לרעיון מושב העובדים להגשמתו וקיומו, מסופרים במוזיאון לראשית הישוב, שגם הוא משמר בשמו את "שם נעוריו" - "עין חי - כפר מלל".
הכביש הארצי (כאן מאחור), גם הוא נקרא רחוב עין חי והמושב נעשה, (הפעם שלא מרצונו) מרכז התנועה של האיזור.
אחרי 50 שנות פעילות עצמאית ומורחבת, כשנגמרה החשיבות הסקטוריאלית שלו, התאחד הבנק עם בנק הפועלים.
פעילותו בכפר מלל הועברה לרמתיים, לעוד כעשר שנים ונסגר סופית ב-1986.

Ein Hai Bank
The name Ein Hai was given to the bank to preserve the heritage of the historical name of the moshav when the moshav was a "workers’ moshav". The Moshavim and Kvutzot were the link between the working class settlement in general "and the workers’ Moshavim " in particular.
The bank was initiated and managed by Moshe Zeev Even, from 1924, (Moshe Even’s grandfather named after him and was one of the first pilots of the Air Force, and his brother Yaakov Even, a member of the moshav). The bank was run for decades by Yaakov Zalmanson (Eitan’s grandfather), during the period when the moshav was re-established (together with Hamra), according to the plan of the workers’ moshavim in 1919-1920.

In the 1950s, the moshav granted its bank license to the entire moshav movement, and its name was changed, "from a lending and savings fund", to the Ein Hai bank.
At this point, dozens of branches were added across the country, and motorized branches moved between the Moshavim.
During this pioneering period (in the 1930s) the moshav granted thousands of dunams "for the settlement of the millennium" and the moshav became "the father of settlement" in the area.
When they themselves had nothing to eat, they built with their money and on their land all the institutions of the area. (In addition to the Ein Hai Bank, the moshav provided the area with the clinic, the school, a club for the working youth movement, a dairy for Tnuva, a library and the regional council building).
The second generation, the elders of the Moshav, were the "founders of the Palmach generation" (the "strike companies" established by the working-class settlement in 1942).
Many of them sacrificed what is most precious to them, their lives! And at this price they submitted "to the country on the way" on a tray of silver its independence.
Both generations have fulfilled the values ​​of the period - initiative, daring, self-work, material and value contribution to the whole, voluntarily and not under duress.
There are no such things today, they performed and did not just talk. The socio-economic revolution has changed the fabric of life in the country, and has particularly affected productive settlement (unlike the new settlement), and settlement is not allowed to adapt itself for the purpose of its continued existence.
In addition it is forced to buy its rights in the land a second and third time, and in fact the generation of boys has already been displaced from his birthplace along with five generations before him, there is no case of displacement similar to that in the country.
The legacy of Ein Hai as a workers ’moshav, its unknown contribution to the idea of ​​the workers’ moshav for its fulfillment and existence, are narrated in the museum for the beginning of the settlement, which also preserves in its name the "name of its youth" - "Ein Hai - Kfar Melal".
The national road (here in the back), is also called Ein Hai Street and the moshav became, (this time involuntarily) the traffic center of the area.
After 50 years of independent and expanded activity, when its sectoral importance ended, the bank merged with Bank Hapoalim.
Its activities in the village of Malal were transferred to Ramatim, for another ten years and was finally closed in 1986.
