Branding symbol of the city of Holon

Slick for weapons
"Slick" - a hiding place for illegal weapons hidden from the eyes of the British government.
This slick was used by the people of the Moledet neighborhood and buried in the ground near the Tsubari family home in 1936. The weapon planted in Slick was used by the Haganah fighters during the War of Independence (1948).
The "Slick" contained a wide variety of weapons: grenades, pistols, rifles, machine guns and more.
Few members of the "Haganah" knew about the location of the slicks and special professionals ("slickers") took care of the proper maintenance of the weapons.

This "Slick" was posted on the Hosmasa website courtesy of the Tsubari family
In memory of the late Shlomo Ben Shalom Tzubari

Shlomo Tzubari was the Mukhtar and chairman of the neighborhood committee, one of the initiators of the neighborhood union and the establishment of the Holon local council in 1940. He fought for Hebrew labor and took care of the protection of the neighborhood and its people.
