[Image] Construction of the synagogue

The synagogue
The first synagogue in the village was in a wooden hut on Derech Hayam Street at the corner of Hadoar Street.
In 1941, the Jerusalem architects, Eliezer Yellin and his partner Wilhelm Hecker, designed the synagogue building as a donation.
The foundations of the building were laid in 1942.
Construction was delayed due to World War II and its construction was completed only in 1947.
The work was carried out by architect Philip Beyam of Beit Herut.
The synagogue was run for about 54 years by Shalom Amitai, who served as the synagogue’s gabay and conducted religious affairs in the village.
The synagogue serves all the surrounding communities.
