Comments:
A sign of the Jerusalem "The Built Heritage" series, a project initiated by architectural historian David Kroyanker in 1993, in which buildings of historic value were commemorated in central Jerusalem.
The signs were designed by Harel Designers Office, and the logo is in the form of a relief of a rosette window ("Rosetta").

The building was photographed that day Click for a larger image

Above the convent gate is the name of the Order of the Sisters: SAINT JOSEPH DE-L’APPARITION Click for a larger image

Today, the building also houses the French school in Jerusalem (lycée français de Jérusalem) as can be seen on the following sign on the building wall Click for a larger image

Note: In some of the signs in this series, the Arabic text is covered with glue. This may have been done for political reasons by elements who oppose the use of the Arabic language.
