שכונת מחנה ישראל
השכונה נבנתה בשנת 1868 על ידי קבוצת יהודים יוצאי צפון אפריקה (מערבים, מוגרבים), בהנהגתו של הרב דוד בן שמעון דבש. השכונה נחשבת לשכונה היהודית השנייה מחוץ לחומות העיר העתיקה והראשונה שהוקמה על ידי תושבי העיר העתיקה עבור עצמם. מאוחר יותר עברו לפעול בה גם מוסדות העדה המערבית בירושלים.

حارة مكني إسرائيل
أقام الحارة عام ١٨٦٨ مجموعة من اليهود من أصل مغربي بقيادة الحاخام دفيد بن شمعون دیش ، الحارة اليهودية الثانية خارج أسوار البلدة القديمة . فيما بعد تم افتتاح مؤسسات الطائفة المغربية في الحارة .

MAHANEH ISRAEL NEIGHBORHOOD
The second Jewish neighborhood outside the Old City built in 1868 by the Jewish Moroccan Community, headed by Rabbi David Ben Shimon Dabbash. The Community institutions were built later.

The sign shape is square but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
