עמדת "כביר"
במקום זה הוקם בשנת תרצ"ח (1938) בית-חרושת לבירה "כביר", ששימש כעמדת תצפית ומאחז הגנה עיקרי של בת-ים במלחמת השחרור (תש״ח -1948). העמדה אויישה על-ידי לוחמי ארגון "ההגנה", אשר מכאן הפעילו לראשונה את מרגמת ה"דוידקה", הרתיעו את האוייב וסייעו לכיבוש יפו במבצע "חמץ" באפריל 1948.

Kabir Post
A factory for the "Kabir" beer was established on this site in 1938, which served as an observation post and the main defense outpost of Bat Yam during the War of Independence (1948). The position was manned by fighters of the Haganah organization. From here, they first activated the "Davidka" mortar, deterred the enemy and aided the conquest of Jaffa in Operation Chametz in April 1948.
