Translation of the text on the sign:
[The text in the English language is much shorter than the Hebrew text, below is the translation of the Hebrew text]
The synagogue was built on Yemin Moshe in 1899 with the contribution of Israel Moshe Halevi from London, England, and was one of the first synagogues built outside the Old City walls. The construction of the synagogue was entrusted to Yaakov Mann, a well-known contractor and builder in Jerusalem. The centrality and size of the neighborhood synagogue led to various events being held there, to which all residents of Jerusalem were invited. In the early 1990s it was declared a conservation building and it was decided to rehabilitate it. The conservation and renovation work was completed in 1998.
