The first well
The first well was excavated in 1906, with the money of settlers and it operated until the mid-1940s. Prior to the excavation, the settlers were forced to use water drawn from the well in Ein Hai (now Kfar Malal) as well as from the well in Nabi Yemin. The well was the only source of water for various uses, such as irrigating almond groves, domestic and public consumption. Its capacity was limited and all attempts to improve its technical capabilities, subsequently, from the use of a bucket and rope to mechanical pumping by motor, were unsuccessful.
The well was preserved in 2018. The partners in the conservation project: Kfar Saba Municipality , the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Kabavia family, the Kfar Saba Museum, the Lottery and the Water Plant.
