En ces lieux qui abritaient autrefois un foyer de personnes sourdes et malentendantes, les "Trois mousquetaires", Emile JULIEN (1921-1990), Eugène PERIER (1906-1985) et Antoine ROVIRALTA (1916-1994) fondèrent l’Association Générale des Sourds de Montpellier et sa Région.

À l’occasion de l’année du centenaire de la naissance d’Emile Julien, en 2021, l’AGSMR et la Ville de Montpellier leur rendent hommage afin de rappeler à chacún que les combats pour l’inclusion, la tolérance et l’égalité des droits continuent encore aujourd’hui.

In this place which once housed a home for deaf and hard of hearing people, the "Three Musketeers", Emile JULIEN (1921-1990), Eugène PERIER (1906-1985) and Antoine ROVIRALTA (1916-1994) founded the General Association of the Deaf of Montpellier and its region.

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Emile Julien, in 2021, the AGSMR and the City of Montpellier pay tribute to them in order to remind everyone that the struggles for inclusion, tolerance and equal rights still continue today.
