Sign number 112 from the "Vienna - the city introduces itself" series of signs, an initiative established in 1956 as part of the Vienna Festival, which shows significant places in the city. The serial number is displayed at the bottom of the sign.

The sign is located on the site of the Watch Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of watches in Europe.
In the 15th and 16th centuries there was a Jewish garden and later a cemetery. In 1690 the place passed to Ferdinand Marchese de Obizzi and in 1917 the Vienna Clock Museum moved to it.
