accompanied by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh,
unveiled this plaque to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the Channel Tunnel and the launch of international high speed rail services between the UK and continental Europe.

The sign marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Channel Tunnel, an underwater tunnel that connects England and France and passes under the English Channel. The construction of the tunnel was completed in 1994
