Museu Nacional de Arqueologia
Fundado em 1893, devido aos esforços de José Leite de Vasconcelos, conservador da Biblioteca Nacional, o Museu Nacional de Arqueologia pretendia conjugar Os contributos da antropologia, arqueologia e etnografia. Em 1989 o museu ficou definitivamente vocacionado para o deminio arqueológico, sendo possuidor de um valioso acervo que remonta a antes da época romana.

Founded in 1893, thanks to the efforts made by José Leite de Vasconcelos, curator of the Biblioteca Nacional, the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia aimed at combining the contributions from anthropology, archaeology and ethnography. In 1989 it was definitely directed towards the area of archaeology, being the Owner of valuable collection dating back to the pre-Roman era.
