וילהלמינה ואנדריאס שמידט (Schmidt) בנו את הבית ב-1874. לאחר מות בעלה השכירה האלמנה את ביתה לדיירים ששמרו על מראהו המקורי. בבית זה הותקן הרדיו הראשון בשרונה והתושבים נהגו להתקבץ סביבו ולהאזין לשידורים מגרמניה. בייעודו האחרון שימש הבית כמשרד קישור ליחידות תחזוקה צה"ליות לגיוס חירום. קומת הגג שימשה כבית כנסת צבאי.

Wilhelmine and Andreas Schmidt built this house in 1874. Following her husbands death, the widow rented the house to tenants who maintained the original appearance. The first radio in Sarona was set up here and residents gathered around it to listen to broadcasts from Germany. The last use of the house was for liaison units of the Israel Defense Forces for emergency recruitment. The top floor was used as an army synagogue.

قام بتشييد البيت فيلهلمينا وأندرياس شميدت سنة ۱۸۷٤ . وبعد موت الزوج ، أجرت أرملته بيتها لأناس حافظوا على شكله الأساسي . وتم في هذا البيت تركيب أول مذياع في سارونا ، واعتاد سكان المستعمرة على التجمع حوله للاستماع إلى برامج الإذاعة الألمانية . وكانت آخر جهة استعملت البيت مكتب الاتصال لتعبئة جنود الاحتياط لبعض وحدات الصيانة العسكرية ، فيما آوي الطابق الأخير كنيسا عسكريا ۔
