Anchor of the Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert, 1899

This Admiralty-pattern bow anchor weighs about 4 tonnes. It is 4.3m (14 ft) long and 2.9m (9ft 8in) across the flekes. The stock measures 4,06m (13ft 6in).

The Victoria and Albert was the third Royal Yacht of the name and Queen Victoria’s last. She was built at Pembroke Dock in 1899 and scrapped when the present Royal Yacht Britannia was commissioned in 1954.
