יקב ראשון-לציון
משנת 1929 נערכו ביקב פעולות של ה"הגנה", במקום נערכו אימונים בנשק קל ובירי תחמושת חיה. במסגריית היקב נעשו תיקוני נשק ובמקום הוחזק סליק (מחסן נשק סודי) של ה "הגנה".
היקב תוכנן כמקום מבוצר ומוגן ואליו יפונו תושבי הפרברים במצב חרום.
בין ערביי הסביבה התהלכה השמועה שהיקב מבוצר והוצבו בו מכונות ירייה. שמועה זו מנעה כנראה כל נסיון לתקוף את המושבה.

RISHON LE-ZION WINERY
From 1929 the winery was used for a varoety of activities by the Hagana. Arms practice, including shooting with live fire, was carried out here.
The winery’s workshop was utilized for repairing and hiding weapons. The winery, built and planned as a well fortified and protected building, served as a shelter for the local population in case of emergency. Among the Arabs, a rumor spread that the winery was fortified and armed with machine guns ... it is believed that for this reason, there were no attack on Rishon Le-Zion.

The sign shape is square but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
