Born in Keithali, Hungary (1877-1948), he immigrated to Israel in 1921. He studied civil engineering at the Hungarian State Technion, and after graduating worked in Budapest, Hungary designing buildings and mainly bridges. After the First World War, he immigrated to Israel, lived in Tel Aviv, where he initially designed the casino on the Tel Aviv beach, water towers, and the dome of the Great Synagogue. He also helped design the "Nesher" cement plant and the large flour mills in Haifa
