The sign is in the house where Haim Hefer lived - poet, journalist, publicist, born in Sosnowiec, Poland (1925-2012), immigrated to Israel in 1936.
After serving in the Palmach, he founded the Chizbatron band, authored many books including "The Bag of Lies" - a collection of stories he wrote together with Dan Ben-Amotz. He wrote songs for the bands: The Roosters, the Gesher Yarkon Trio, and many others.
Winner of the Israel Prize for a Hebrew Singer (1983), the Sokolov Prize for Journalism (1969), the Acum Prize for Lifetime Achievement, and many other awards.
The sign was placed in 2015 in the house where he lived for 55 years.
