The sign is in the format of other street signs in Ramat Gan Click for sign's details but is intended to commemorate the fallen in the war that took place after Hamas surprise attack on October 7, 2023. An attack on the settlements surrounding Gaza, in which Israel was surprised. In the attack, more than 1,100 people from Israel were killed and 251 were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip.

The emblem of the city of Ramat Gan is replaced by the Israeli flag, and below it the name of the war "Iron Swords" (not sure that is the name by which this war will be remembered in the future)

As part of the same commemoration, the street name was also changed from Student Alley to Sergey Alley
