This is the American M10 Tank Destroyer which took part in World War II and was leased to Great Britain. The British equipped a with a 17 pound anti-tank gun and the vehicle was named Achilles. The IDF purchased some of those vehicles as European war surplus in order to establish tank destroyer formations. An attempt to replace the gun with advanced French 75 gun was abandoned and the vehicles were taken out of service without having participated in combat.
