שריונית מתוצרת אמריקאית ממלחמת העולם השנייה שסופקה לצבא הבריטי במהלך המלחמה. כלים אלו נרכשו ע"י ההגנה כגרוטאות מעודפי הצבא הבריטי בסיום המנדט. המחלקה הטכנית בשירות המשוריינים של ההגנה (שמ"ש) סגרה בפלדה את הכלי הפתוח והוסיפה צריחון. שני מקלעי מ.ג. 34 או 37 הותקנו גם כן. הסקאוט קר שירת במלחמת העצמאות בגדודי הפשיטה בפלמ"ח ובצה"ל והשתתף במספר רב של קרבות, בהם דקל וחירם.

This WWII American made armored car supplied to the British army during the war. They were purchased by the Haganah as scrap from the British military surplus at the end of the Mandate. The Haganah’s Armored Service technicians coverd the open vehicle with steel plates and added a cupola. Two MG34 or MG37 machine guns were installed. The Scout Car served in the 1948 War of Independence as part of the IDF and Palmach’s Raiding Regiments, and participated in a large number of battles.
