An American Jeep produced by Willys, model 1942. Hundreds of thousands of these vehicles were manufactured in the U.S. and dozens of them were purchased by the IDF during Israel’s War of Independence. These were used by reconnaissance units in armored and infantry battalions. This vehicle participated in many operations during the War of Independence and remained in service after it ended. The Jeep was equipped with a pair of German MG34 machine guns acquired from Czechoslovakia.
