A French tank produced in 1935 and received by the Syrian Arrny from France, following the end of the French Mandate in Lebanon. During Israel’s War of Independence (1948), the Syrian Army used these tanks to attack Israel at the Southern end of the Sea of Galilee. The tanks were blocked by the defenders of Kibbutz Degania. Some of the former were captured. One of them is displayed in the kibbutz. The tank in this museum was given by the French government.
