קטע מגשר ייעודי (במקור 220 מטר) לצליחת תעלת סואץ שפותח ע"י יחידת יפת"ח בהנחייתו של סגן הרמטכ"ל, אלוף ישראל טל. הגשר נועד לאפשר העברה של כוחות משוריינים לתוך מצריים. הוא מבוסס על גלילי מתכת ממולאים בקצף ותוכנן להיגרר ע"י טנקים עד לתעלה ולהיות מושק באמצעות דחיפה. במלחמת יום הכיפורים הגשר היה האחרון להיפרס מבין ארבעת הגשרים של צה"ל. מתכנן ובונה הגשר תא"ל לסקוב ז"ל קיבל על פיתוח זה את פרס ביטחון ישראל.

This is a segment of a bridge (originally 220 meters long) designed for crossing the Suez Canal. It was developed in Yiftach, the Combat Engineering Corps’ development unit, under the direction of Deputy Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Israel Tal. The bridge was meant to enable the passage of armored forces into Egypt. It is based on foam-filled metal cylinders and designed to be towed by tanks up to the Canal and then pushed into the water. During the Yom Kippur War, this was the last of the four bridges deployed by the IDF. The designer and builder of the bridge, Brig. Gen. Laskov, received the Israel Defense Prize for this initiative.
