תחנת הרכבת יפו הוקמה בשנת 1892 כתחנה הראשית בקו "יפו-ירושלים". הקו בישר את ראשית עידן התחבורה המודרנית בארץ ישראל. המבנה עוצב בסגנון טיפוסי לאירופה של המאה ה-19. בחלל המרכזי נמכרו הכרטיסים, באגף המזרחי מוקמו המשרדים, ואילו הקומה השנייה שימשה את צוות עובדי התחנה. סביב המבנה המרכזי של התחנה נבנו המבנים האחרים במתחם.

تم إنشاء محطة قطار يافا في عام ١٨٩٢ لتكون المحطة الرئيسية على خط يافا - القدس". كان الخط إيذانا ببداية عصر النقل الحديث في أرض إسرائيل. تم تصميم المبنى على الطراز الأوروبي النموذجي لأوروبا في القرن التاسع عشر. تم بيع التذاكر في المكان الرئيسي. وتقع المكاتب في القسم الشرقي بينما تم استخدام الطابق الثاني من قبل موظفي تم بناء المباني الأخرى حول المبنى الرئيسي للمحطة.

The Jaffa Railway Station was built in 1892 as the first station on the "Jaffa-Jerusalem" line. The line heralded the start of modern transportation era in Israel. The building design is typical 19th century European. In the main space tickets were sold, the east wing housed offices, while the second floor served the station employees. Additional buildings in the complex surrounded the main station building.

The sign is located where the "Jaffa Railway Station" was - a station that operated between 1892-1948, serving the Jaffa - Jerusalem line, and was the first railway station to be built in the Middle East after stations built in Egypt and Turkey.
