Translation of the text on the sign:
[Picture of the Hershel House]

Hershel House | One of the first cultural houses established in the kibbutz movement. It was built in memory of Hershel Pinsky, one of the founders and members of Gvat, who drowned in a stream. The cornerstone was laid in 1937. It was designed by architect Yohanan Ratner as a cultural house and also as a forward post facing the Arab villages to the north. During World War II, it served as a warehouse for the "Mashbir". Yitzhak Nevo designed the ceiling and chairs in the hall, which were built of wood. For over two generations, it hosted a rich and diverse cultural life for members of Gvat and the surrounding area. Today, it is used only by Gvat residents.
