Paco the dog was a street dog adopted by the residents of Madrid in the 19th century. The dog, who roamed the city’s most famous cafes and received food from their residents, was the subject of newspaper articles, paintings, and cartoons.
The statue was made by Rodrigo Romero Pérez and was installed in 2023
