A sign in the series of signs in Madrid, made of clay and depicting in an illustration one of the elements of the street

The street is named after the Monastery of St. Elizabeth, which is located on the street. Elizabeth was the mother of John the Baptist and the cousin of Mary, the mother of Jesus. According to the New Testament, during Elizabeth’s pregnancy, Mary visited her and blessed her and the baby. Both women are depicted on the sign.
