יליד תל אביב. גדל בכרם ענבים, רח בלפור בימינו, ובהמשך עבר להתגורר בשכונת התקווה, ובה נשאר עד מותו. בשנת 2023 קיבל את פרס יקיר העיר תל אביב.
בצעירותו התגייס לארגון הלח"י, ונטל חלק במאבק של היישוב היהודי בשלטון הבריטי למען הקמת המדינה. במקביל לקריירה צבאית כרס"ר מחנה, הקים את קבוצת הכדורגל בית"ר עזרא, הפעילה עד היום. כונה "מלך הכדורגל האגדי של שכונת התקווה".
בשנת 2007, והוא בן 76, ערך את הופעתו האחרונה כשחקן פעיל בקבוצה. שימש יו"ר המועדון, ובשנת 2014 הוריש אותו לנכדיו.

Tzadok Hammi (1930-2024) 2001/02, Beitar Ezra
Born in Tel Aviv. He grew up in a Kerem Anavim, on present-day Balfour Street, and later moved to the Hatikva neighborhood, where he remained until his death. In 2023, he received the Tel Aviv City Honorary Award.
In his youth, he enlisted in the Lehi organization, and took part in the struggle of the Jewish community under British rule for the establishment of the state. Parallel to his military career as a camp sergeant, he founded the Beitar Ezra soccer team, which is still active today. He was called "the legendary soccer king of the Hatikva neighborhood."
In 2007, at the age of 76, he made his last appearance as an active player for the team. He served as chairman of the club, and in 2014 he bequeathed it to his grandchildren.
