הפועל תל אביב, 1999/2000

יליד בגדאד, עיראק. עיתונאי, כתב ופרשן צבאי.
עלה לארץ בשנת 1950, והתחנך בקיבוץ מעוז חיים.
בשנת 1965 התגייס לגדוד 906 של הנח"ל, ולחם, בין היתר, במלחמת ששת הימים ובמלחמת יום הכיפורים.

החל את דרכו ככתב ב"קול ישראל" ב-1971, ועד יום מותו היה במרכז העשייה העיתונאית בתחום הצבאי במדיות השונות.

התגורר בתל אביב, והיה אוהד נלהב של הפועל תל אביב, שהגיעה לשיאה בעונת 1999/2000

A series of signs placed in 2025 on one of the banks of the Yarkon River, featuring cultural figures, some of whom are still alive, dressed in the uniforms of the football teams they supported. The project was created by Tal Shetach, an illustrator who was himself a football player Click for sign's details

On the current sign, Roni Daniel in the uniform of the Hapoel Tel Aviv football team, at a time when the sponsor was the "Keter" company.

Roni Daniel (1947-2021)
Hapoel Tel Aviv, 1999/2000

Born in Baghdad, Iraq. Journalist, reporter and military commentator.
Immigrated to Israel in 1950, and was educated at Kibbutz Maoz Haim.
In 1965, he enlisted in the 906th Battalion of the Nahal, and fought, among other things, in the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War.

He began his career as a reporter for "Kol Israel" in 1971, and until the day he died, he was at the center of journalistic activity in the military field in various media.

He lived in Tel Aviv, and was an ardent fan of Hapoel Tel Aviv, which reached its peak in the 1999/2000 season
