On the sign:
מגדל המים
שימש במאורעות תרצ"ו-תרצ"ט 1936-1939 ובמלחמת השחרור עמדת תצפית וקשר ביום ובלילה.
על הגג הותקן זרקאור.
בתוך העליה אל הגג הותקן "סליק" של נשק המגן.
המגדל שימש לאויב מטרה גלויה ועמד תחת אש מנשק קל וכבד.

A sign on the tower was placed on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Kibbutz Ramat HaKovesh, since the kibbutz was founded in 1932, it is likely that the sign was placed in 2022

Translation of the text on the sign:
The water tower
was used during the events of 1936-1939 and the War of Liberation as an observation and communications post day and night.
A searchlight was installed on the roof.
A "slick" of defensive weapons was installed inside the roof access.
The tower served as an open target for the enemy and was under fire from light and heavy weapons.
