Piet Heynsbrug. De Piet Heynssluis en Aelbrechtssluis vormden vroeger de ’Capitale Sluis’. Via dit sluizen-complex kreeg men de toegang tot de provinciale waterweg van Delfshaven naar Delft. Over deze sluizen zijn ook bruggen geslagen. De brug over de Piet Heynssluis heette vroeger de Draaibrug. Dit was een houten brug die in 1872 werd vervangen door een gietijzeren ophaalbrug oor gieterij Enthoven & Co. Door een aantal gebeurtenissen is de functie van dit sluizencomplex vervallen. De brug is nog in de oorspronkelijke staat.

Piet Heynsbrug. The Piet Heynssluis and Aelbrechtssluis used to form the ’Capitale Sluis’. This lock complex provided access to the provincial waterway from Delfshaven to Delft. Bridges were also built over these locks. The bridge over the Piet Heynssluis used to be called the Draaibrug. This was a wooden bridge that was replaced in 1872 by a cast iron drawbridge by the foundry Enthoven & Co. Due to a number of events, the function of this lock complex has lapsed. The bridge is still in its original state.
