The monument is dedicated to the fallen of the 75th Armored Battalion, a battalion that belonged to the Harel Brigade.

In the grove surrounding the monument are piles of stones, each dedicated to one of the 17 fallen of the battalion.
In the following sign taken by the same photographer on the same day, one of the pile of stones can be seen:
