Translation of the text on the sign:
Sherman 50-M tank turret

The Sherman is an American tank that was first used in World War II. The IDF purchased Sherman tanks in the 1950s and first used them in Operation Kadesh (1956).
The 95th Battalion, established in 1960, used Sherman tanks in the Six Day War (1967), the War of Attrition (1970) and the Yom Kippur War (1973).
Over the years, the IDF has made improvements to the Sherman tanks:
The gasoline engine was replaced with a diesel engine, and the guns were replaced with a 75 mm cannon in the M50 model and a 105 mm cannon in the M51 model.
The tank turret was moved here, to the 95th Battalion memorial site, for its final station.
