Military Milestones in the Life of Company S (Seymour) 113th Battalion, 217th Brigade The company was established in 1962 as the 20th Armored Company in the 113th Armored Battalion in the 520th Armored Brigade.
During the Six-Day War, June 5-11, 1967, the company fought as part of the 113th Battalion, 520th Brigade on the Sinai front: from the "Hadayka" area, a breakthrough to "Jabel Libni", "Bir-Hasna", the Mitla crossing, towards "Ras-Sudar", and the Suez Canal entrance.
In 1970, the veteran 113th Armored Division Battalion was converted into a tank battalion and equipped with "Light Shot" tanks.
With the conversion of the battalion, the S Armored Division Company was established, based on the veteran nucleus from Company 20, to which young soldiers and commanders selected from the battalions armored divisions were assigned.
In the "Yom Kippur" War, October 6-25, 1973, the company fought as part of the 113th Tank Battalion in the 217th Armored Division on the Sinai Front for 18 consecutive days of combat, in a bloody battle course (see map of main movements and battle course).
In the "Peace for the Galilee" War from June 6, 1982, the company fought as part of the 43rd (113th) Battalion in the 645th (217th) Brigade on the eastern front in Lebanon.
