EL PUEBLO DE MADRID AL POETA DEL EXODO Y DEL LLANTO EN EL CENTENARIO DE SU NACIMIENTO
The plaque commemorates the anti-fascist poet Leon Felipe (1884-1968). The poet, who wrote about the bleak state of Spain at the time, went into exile in 1938 to Mexico where he ended his life. The plaque was erected on the 100th anniversary of his death in 1985 (apparently a year later)
