Translation of the text on the sign:

[Picture of the house]

Sereni House
The first house built on the hill in 1930, and served as a residence, clinic, hospital rooms, post office and secretarial office. The house surrounded by tents became the symbol of the settlement. Because of its white color, the Arabs called it ’Kilat al-Abyad’ - "the white fortress", which was truly a safe house for the small settlement. In 1947, after the laying of the cornerstone by Chaim Weizmann, the house was renovated and adapted as a cultural center, with a theater hall added to it.
The building is named after Chaim Enzo Sereni, who went on a mission to Europe, was captured and executed in the Dachau concentration camp.
