Important buildings in the history of the country’s organized Jewish community stood at this central intersection in the early 20th century. On the right: the Anglo-Palestine Bank, and across from it the Nabulsi House, home of the office of the Hovevei Zion Executive Committee and the Sha’ar Zion Library. At the nearby Jeshurun Club, Akiva Arye Weiss presented the vision of the first Hebrew city. Down the street stood the Spector and Boruch hotels, where the pioneers of the Zlonist Labor Movement stayed.

The trail depicts the route of the pilgrims who came to the Land of Israel starting in the 18th century, beginning with their arrival at the Port of Jaffa and continuing through the various points along their way.

The current station, located at the intersection of Jerusalem Boulevard and David Raziel Street, which, as the sign indicates, was a major intersection in those days, was photographed on that day Click for a larger image
