Coralee, 2022
Recycled Glass, Mixed Metals

12’ H x 20’ L

Coralee is a mermaid sculpture composed of recycled glass and mixed metals, originally created in Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, England, for Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man.

This shimmering figure pays homage to ancient mermaid myths of the Peak District and symbolizes feminine strength, beauty, and environmental awareness.

This temporary installation is made possible through the support of Big Art SF in partnership with Sijbrandij Foundation, Building 180 and the Port of San Francisco. Special thanks from the artist to Heather Henderson, Haideen Anderson, Kathy Richardson, Michael Hopkins, Angela Matt, Dana Kornfeld & Pat Charos.
