Signal tower over water pool
The signaling tower above the first water pool, which was erected during the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine. At the head of the tower distant messages were transmitted, by signaling a flashlight,. This was the surest way to pass them. These were mainly messages from the Haganah organization. During World War II, a lantern projector was placed on the tower for an aerial enemy search in the sky. An alarm horn was also installed there. During the War of Independence, an iron tower about 5 m high was added to it, which was removed years later.
