כאן התקיימה הפעילות הכלכלית והחברתית של הפרדסנים, הכורמים והעובדים בענפי החקלאות במושבה ובעיר רחובות, ממועד הקמתו של הבית בשנת תרצ"ד (1934) ועד ימינו אלה.
