Comments:
The sign is on one of the pillars of the building where Shimon Dzigan lived - theater actor, comedian, born in Lodz, Poland (1905-1980), immigrated to Israel in 1950.
Best known for the duo Dzigan and Schumacher who staged a comedy show in Yiddish. The duo began to operate in 1927 in Poland, and continued to operate in Israel until 1960. After the dissolution of the duo, Dzigan continued to perform in Israel and around the world.
