Comments:
The flight, made by Portuguese seaplane pilots Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Freire Cabral, was made in 1922 to mark the 100th anniversary of Brazil’s independence. The flight was between Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro.
The flight, which was held in three stages, started at the airport near the Belen Tower

The monument in the yard of the Maritime Museum was photographed on the same day Click for a larger image
