The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Portugal, Tongyeong City Hall. Lisbon City Council and the artist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils jointly erected a monument to João Mendes to mark the arrival of the first Westerner to the Korean Peninsula in 1604
