בית הוועד
בשנת תר"פ (1920) הוקמה אגודה הדדית "בוני בית" והחלה בנית שכונת הגנים "בית הכרם". בשנת 1925 הונחה אבן הפינה לבית הוועד, ובו התמקדו חייה הציבוריים, החינוכיים, התרבותיים והחברתיים. בשנת 1988 הוחלט בעיריית ירושלים לבנות מבנה רב-קומות במקומו של בית הוועד. תושבי בית הכרם מנעו את הריסת הבניין ההיסטורי ופעלו לשימורו, שיקומו והפעלתו השוטפת. כיום מוצגת בו תערוכה על תולדות השכונה, ופועל בו מועדון לגיל השלישי לתושבי השכונה.

مقر لجنة الحي
عام ۱۹۲۰ تأسست الجمعية التعاونية لبناء حي المتنزهات بيت فكرم وفي ١٩٢٥ تم وضع حجر الأساس للمركز الجماهيري حيث تمت فيه النشاطات الاجتماعية والتربوية والثقافية عام ۱۹۸۸ قررت بلدية أورشليم القدس إزالة هذا المقر إقامة عمارة سكن عالية بفضل احتجاج السكان تقرر الحفاظ على مقر لجنة الحي الذي يوجد فيه المعرض الدائم عن تاريخ الحي.

NEIGHBORHOOD COMMITTEE CENTER
The Bonei HaBayit (home constructers) association was established In 1920 to build the Beit Ha-kerem, The corner stone for the local social and cultural center was laid in 1925. In 1988 the residents, efforts to prevent the construction of a high-rising residential building were crowned with success. A permanent exhibition inside tells the story of the neighborhood.
