The citrus scent
Hundreds of thousands of citrus boxes are shipped through Tel Aviv Port each year. In December 1936, the first large citrus fruits shipment was delivered from Tel Aviv port in the presence of the mayor and dignitaries. The first fruit box was sent as gift to King George VI. The two adjacent buildings (Hangar 8 and Hangar 9) were used to store the citrus boxes that came out of the harbor.
