בית המגן

הבנין נבנה בשנות ה-50 כ"בית המגן" ע"י המועצה המקומית וארגון חברי "ההגנה" ברעננה. הארגון היה פעיל מאוד בהגנת המקום והישוב בארץ. רבים מחבריו התגייסו לארגוני הנוטרות, הפלמ"ח והחי"ל ולהקמת ישובים ברחבי ארץ ישראל. באחד משני חדריו הונצחו בני המושבה שנפלו במערכות ישראל. בחזית רחבת "בית המגן" ניצבת אנדרטה, עליה חקוקים שמות הנופלים. על האנדרטה חקוק הפסוק: "ואמר לך בדמייך חיי" (יחזקאל פרק ט’, פסוק ו’)
לימים שימש הבית, בתוספת חדרים שנתווספו לו, את בית הספר התיכון הראשון של המושבה, עד שהועבר לבניינו שברחוב אוסטרובסקי בשנת הלימודים תשכ"ד (1.9.1963). היום משמש "כבית הנוער המרכזי".

HaMagen House

The building was built in the 1950s as a "HaMagen House (house of defense)" by the local council and organization of "Haganah" members in Ra’anana. The organization was very active in protecting the place and the community in Israel. In one of its two rooms, members of the colony who perished in the Israeli wars were commemorated, and on the front of the Beit HaMagen plaza stands a monument with the names of the fallen, engraved on the monument:
Later, the house, with the addition of rooms added to it, served as the colony’s first high school, until it was moved to the building on Ostrovsky Street in the academic year of 1963 (1.9.1963).
Today it serves as "the central youth house".
