The Orange Steps

המדרגות לפניך הינן המדרגות המקוריות אשר נבנו בשלהי התקופה העותומאנית, על תוואי חומת הים של יפו העתיקה.
המדרגות המקבילות לתוואי החומה שימשו להורדת ארגזי התפוזים המפורסמים של יפו, אשר יועדו לאירופה.

You are standing at the original steps that were built in the late Ottoman period. Running parallel to the Old Jaffa’s sea wall, the steps were used to lower crates of the famous Jaffa oranges onto the ships that took them to Europe.
