תערוכת "אנשי הפארק" נולדה בהשראת הסרט התיעודי "אנשים ומקומות" של הבמאית אנייס ורדה ז"ל והצלם ג’יי אר שהוקרן בפסטיבל הסרטים בחיפה 2017.
התערוכה בנויה מפסיפס של אנשים שחיים את פארק גני יהושע. כל אותם הצועדים, הרצים וכל אלה הנהנים ומוקירים את פיסת הטבע השלווה היושבת בלב ליבה הסואן של העיר תל אביב - יפו.

בפרויקט הצילום לקחו חלק מאות אנשים; מתינוק בן יומו ועד לגברת בת 95 האוהבת לבלות בפארק ומתוכם נבחרו התמונות אשר נתלו במקומות לא צפויים, מקומות שקיבלו חיים חדשים ונוכחות חזקה בזכות האנשים שבתוכם.

אי אפשר להתעלם מגודלן של התמונות, הגודל הלא שיגרתי נותן עוצמה ומאפשר לאנשים שבתמונה להראות למרחקים ולגרום לאחרים לראות אותם.
"אנחנו פה".

אנו חיים היום בעולם של חשיפה וצפייה בעולם שבו הכל מתנהל במימד הווירטואלי ויש משהו מאוד מעניין בין החשיפה והתקשורת בעולם הפיזי.

פרויקט "אנשי הפארק" נותן את ההזדמנות למצטלם להיות במקום של אמירה על ידי הבעת הגוף והפנים ולצופה להיות במקום של פרשנות.

זהו שיתוף פעולה ללא מילים בין הצלם, המצטלם והצופה כאשר לכל אחד יש תפקיד ובלי כל אחד מהם לא תהיה משמעות לעבודה.

ואילו הפארק, הפארק מספר את סיפור האנשים שבו, מכיל את כולם, את ההולך, הרץ הנהנה וגם הצופה. כי הם, הם אלה הנותנים את החיים למקום!

People of the Park
From deep inside ourselves and from a place within ourselves, we were created, we have grown, and we have become empowared.

The Pepple of the Park Exhibition was inspired by "People and Places", a documentary film by the late Director, Agnès Varda and photographer, JR, screened at the 2017 Haifa Film Festival.
The exhibition is a mosaic of people that live the park lifestyle in Ganei Yehoshua Park - Those who walk, run, and cherish this tranquil slice of nature lodated in the heart of the bustling city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Hundreds of people participated in this photography project - from a newborn baby to a 95-year-old woman who loves to spend time in the park. The photos chosen for the exhibition were taken in unexpected places - places that have been given a new life and have earned prominence thanks to the people who were photographed there. The large sizes of the images are hard to ignore. Their unconventional dimensions empower, and enable the pictures’ subjects to project distance and make sure that others can see them, as if to say, "We’re here.

Today, we live in a world of exposure whilst observering the world where everything takes place in the virtual dimension. Therefore, in contrast, there is something highly intriguing about exposure and communication in the physical world. The People of the Park project gives the people photographed, the opportunity to be in places of expression, by the way they communicate with their bodies and faces, while allowing the viewers to be in the positions of interpreters.

This work is silent collaboration between the photographer, the subjects and the observers in which everyone has a role, and without each person’s role, the work would have no meaning.

Regarding the Ganei Yehoshua Park - It is the setting that conveys the stories of its visitors; the park spotlights them all - the walker, the pleasure-filled runner and the onlooker, too - because all of these people, breathe life into this special place!
